We visited Mountain Home many times over the years for vacations. Each time we entered the beautiful Ozarks I got the feeling that someday we could call this beautiful place home. Well, we did in 2003 and have never regretted that decision. This area is not for everyone mind you! We do not have huge malls, tons of industry, lots of night life although there is plenty to enjoy here.
We have wonderful people, beautiful lakes and rivers, forests and pastures, mountains and valleys. Low taxes...saying that again....Low Taxes. Wonderful hospital, big box stores ie Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, Staples and more. We also have all the fast food places you like now plus Mom and Pop cafe's and name brand eateries like Chilies and Coltons.
We also have ASU Campus in town and have just opened our new Convention Center complete with a 800 expandable to 1600 seat auditorium, October 2010.
